When starting a new design, you cannot adjust stitch density value, underlay setting, pull compensation, as they are greyed-out

Symptom:

When starting a new design, you cannot adjust stitch density value, underlay setting, pull compensation, as they are greyed-out. 

Solution:

You need to turn off "Auto Fabric" when starting a new design. Those parameters are controlled by Auto Fabric when Auto Fabric is ON. The procedure below is for how to turn off Auto Fabric.

1) Go to File > New from Template menu
2) In New from Template dialog box, untick the checkbox for "Use auto fabric"

Note: If you normally do not use Auto Fabric, you may click on the "Save" button in this dialog box to update the Normal Template.
