“Can't write the Defaults file” error | “Debugger detected (E0030)” error

Symptom: 

“Can't write the Defaults file” error | “Debugger is detected” error 

For ES e4: “Can't write the Defaults file” error 

For ES 3: “Debugger detected (E0030)” error

Wilcom Software affected: ES e4 and ES/DS/DS Lite e3

Cause - This error below occurs due to the antivirus installed. There have been a number of cases for sample AVAST that caused the issue. It is conflicting with HASP security and the Antivirus should be listed on the blacklist.

For AVG 

Add the "Wilcom" Folder into the exclusion list of AVG software.

Steps:  

1. Open AVG
2. Click Settings
3. Locate for the Exclusions Category
4. Browse the path C:\Program Files (x86)\Wilcom and Add to the AVG Exclusion list
