How To Set the Default GPU for Applications - ES

In some laptops or desktops they are supplied with 2 graphics processors one is normally a on-board lower end GPU while the other is a more higher performance GPU.

ES should be set to use the high performance card as it is an graphics intensive application.

To set the default GPU for your application, you'll need to associate your application with it so your computer will know which GPU to use. (by default the option set is Let Windows decide)

  1. From Start Icon, type "Graphics Settings" and Click the results from System Settings.
  2. Click Desktop App.
  3. Browse your application. If your application is not on the list, you will need to browse for the folder where the .exe file is located.
  4. ES Digital Edition - C:\Program Files\Wilcom\EmbroideryStudio\Digital Edition\26\BIN\ES.EXE / ES e4.5 C:\Program Files\Wilcom\EmbroideryStudio_e4.5\BIN\ES.EXE
  5. Click on the application name/icon.
  6. Click Options.
  7. Set the application to your preferred GPU. - Always select the high performance options

  8. Click save.
