WilcomWorkspace opens a comprehensive range of both ‘design’ and ‘machine’ files. When you first access the workspace, you are presented with the Dashboard or home page. From here you can access designs – either design or machine file – either your own or sample designs provided by the system.
Open sample designs
When trialing the system, make use of the sample designs. There are various ways to access them. The most direct is via the Designs button on the WilcomWorkspace sidebar. Alternatively, access them via the Dashboard Start panel.
Available designs are opened in their own window. To open a design in the WilcomWorkspace Truesizer, double-click the selected design or click the Open button at the top of the window.
Truesizer lets you preview and prepare embroidery files before stitching. Its simplicity makes it easy for even the most novice users. View, resize, recolor, print worksheets, and convert files for production.
Open your own designs
WilcomWorkspace opens and saves to a comprehensive range of both ‘design’ and ‘machine’ files, including native Wilcom EMB format. There are various ways to open them in the WilcomWorkspace Truesizer. The most direct is via the Truesizer button on the WilcomWorkspace sidebar. Alternatively, access them via the Dashboard Start panel.
Use the Open Design dialog to navigate to your design folder or simply drag and drop your selected design onto the dialog. The dialog lists the supported design types in addition to the native EMB design file.
The selected file is opened in the WilcomWorkspace Truesizer. This lets you preview and prepare embroidery files before stitching. View, resize, recolor, print worksheets, and convert files for production.
Caution: Machine files are generally not suited to modification. Because the stitch count does not change, the density increases or decreases with design size. Thus you should not scale stitch designs by more than ±5% or some areas may be too thickly or too thinly covered.
