Teamname options

The <team_name_options> element defines additional settings that control how team name lettering is rendered and output. Allows for easy integration with both high-end and entry-level Wilcom software.

Attributes

✅ Column heights

  1. name1_height – height multiplier for Name 1
  2. name2_height – height multiplier for Name 2
  3. name3_height – height multiplier for Name 3

Each value is a ratio relative to the base lettering height defined in <simple_lettering>. For example: name1_height="1.2" means 120% of the base height. This allows you to emphasize parts of the name for greater visibility.

✅ Output modes

The output parameter controls how final files are generated:

Purpose
single_design_team_lettering
  1. Creates one EMB file with all team names in a single lettering object.
  2. Requires Wilcom EmbroideryStudio software for final production editing.
  3. Recommended for users with Wilcom ES due to advanced post-processing options.
multiple_designs
  1. Creates one separate EMB file per team name.
  2. Each file is ready for production without extra steps.
  3. Ideal for use with Wilcom TrueSizer.
  4. More resource-intensive, but easier for clients without EmbroideryStudio software.

✅ File naming for multiple designs

When multiple_designs is used:
  1. Each output file name is automatically numbered. 
  2. Example: If design_file is ‘team.emb’ and you have three names:
    1. team1.emb
    2. team2.emb
    3. team3.emb
  3. The same numbering applies to TrueView image filenames.
Info
multiple_designs is a superset — it still produces the single team lettering design plus the multiple designs.
