Open embroidery designs

Open embroidery designs

Truesizer can open embroidery designs and machine files from several sources. Depending on where your designs are stored, you can open them from Library, your local computer, or the Free Designs collection.

Open a design from your computer

If your designs are stored locally, you can open them directly in Truesizer.
  1. Open Truesizer.
  2. Click Open on the General toolbar.

  3. Using the Open Design dialog, browse to the required file, or drag and drop it into the dialog. The dialog lists all supported embroidery design and machine file formats.
Info
The Open Design dialog also provides direct access to Library and Free Designs, allowing you to open designs from any supported source. Click Browse Library to open a design stored in Library.

Open a design from Library

If your designs are stored in Library, you can open embroidery designs and supported machine files directly in Truesizer.
  1. Open Library.
  2. Browse or search for the required design.

  3. Click the design's More (⋮) menu then select Open in Truesizer. The design opens in the Truesizer app.

Open a free design

Free Designs provides a collection of sample embroidery designs that you can use for evaluation, learning, or testing.
  1. Open Free Designs from the Library navigation.
  2. Browse the available designs.

  3. Double-click a design or click Open in Truesizer. The design opens in Truesizer.
Info
Machine files are intended for production rather than editing. Scaling a machine file changes the stitch density because the number of stitches remains fixed. To maintain stitch quality, avoid resizing machine files by more than ±5%.
