WilcomWorkspace 4.2 - Release Notes

WilcomWorkspace 4.2 introduces new Library management capabilities that make it easier to upload, organize, and manage embroidery designs. This release also expands Library storage options and provides new tools for monitoring storage usage, finding designs more easily, and identifying who uploaded or deleted designs.

What’s new

WilcomWorkspace 4.2 introduces two major new capabilities for managing embroidery designs in Library.

Batch upload designs

Upload multiple embroidery designs to Library in a single operation. 

You can now:
  1. Upload individual files or entire folders
  2. Apply metadata consistently across multiple designs.
  3. Edit individual design details before uploading. 
Uploads run in the background, allowing you to continue working in Library while designs are processed. The Upload Manager provides visibility of upload progress, completed uploads, and any files that require attention.

Library allows multiple team members to upload designs to the same library simultaneously.

Expand Library storage

  1. Library storage can now be expanded as your business grows.
  2. Each Library includes 10 GB of cloud storage. Add 50 GB Storage Add-ons whenever you need additional capacity. Multiple Storage Add-ons can be combined as your library grows.
  3. This makes it easy to accommodate growing design collections, historical archives, and design attachments without changing the way you work.

What's improved

This release also enhances everyday Library management with improvements to search, storage management, and design tracking.

Find designs with missing information

Library search has been enhanced to help identify designs with incomplete metadata. You can now search for designs that have no assigned:
  1. Customer
  2. Status
  3. Decoration area
  4. Tags
This makes it easier to locate incomplete records and maintain a well-organized design library.

Manage storage more efficiently

New tools make it easier to monitor storage usage and reclaim Library storage. You can now:
  1. Sort the Recycling Bin by record size to identify large deleted designs
  2. View the size of each design before deleting it
  3. See how much storage is currently being used by the Recycling Bin.
These enhancements help you make informed decisions when managing Library storage.

Check who uploaded or deleted designs

Library now records who uploaded and who deleted each design. You can also filter designs by uploader or by the user who deleted them, making it easier to:
  1. Find designs uploaded by specific team members.
  2. Identify who deleted a design.
