When a design is created, it contains a single default colorway. You can add a virtually unlimited number of colorways to a design using the same or different thread sets. Colorways are saved with the design in EMB format. They cannot, however, be saved with machine files.
To add a colorway...
1. Open a design in Truesizer and select the Colorways tab. The current colorway is displayed.
2. Click View Thread Chart and to view the current thread chart. Select a new chart from the listing as required.
3. Optionally, change the background color to match the fabric you will be using. Click the color slot at the top of the colorway to access a popup color chart.
4. Use the controls on the color chart to choose or mix a preferred color.
5. To add a new colorway, click the + symbol. The Create New Colorway dialog opens.
6. Enter a colorway name – e.g. ‘Colorway 2’. The new colorway will use the current colorway as a starting point. If others are available, you can switch via the droplist.
7. Again choose a background color to match the fabric you will be using.
8. Assign colors from available threads to selected color slots.
9. Add more colorways as needed.
10. Delete any unwanted colorways using the trash icon at the top.
Note: As dark-colored threads cover light-colored fabrics better than vice versa, different densities may be required when changing from one colorway to another. Colorways do not automatically compensate for different densities. These must be adjusted manually.
