Activate product (individuals)

This article explains how individual users activate an EmbroideryStudio product using a product key. For information about when a product key is required, see About EmbroideryStudio product keys.

Before you begin

Before activating your product:
  1. Have your product key available.
  2. Create a Wilcom Account if you do not already have one.
  3. Install EmbroideryStudio.

How product activation works

Individual users activate their product by signing in to EmbroideryStudio with their Wilcom Account and entering a valid product key. Once activated, the license is linked to the Wilcom Account and the product key is no longer required.

Activate your product

The actual activation procedure is as follows:
  1. Open EmbroideryStudio.
  2. Sign in using your Wilcom Account.

  3. Select 'Have a Product Key? Activate it here'.
  4. Enter your product key.
  5. Select Activate.
  6. Restart EmbroideryStudio if prompted.

After activation

After activation:
  1. Your license is linked to your Wilcom Account.
  2. You no longer need the product key.
  3. You can view and manage your license under Admin Tools > Applications.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a product key?

No ... If you purchased or downloaded EmbroideryStudio directly from the Wilcom website, your license is usually assigned automatically to your Wilcom Account. You only need a product key if one was supplied with your purchase.

Can I use my product key again?

No ... A product key can only be activated once. After activation, your license is associated with your Wilcom Account, so the product key is no longer required.

I can't activate my license

Check that:
  1. You are signed in with the correct Wilcom Account.
  2. The product key has been entered correctly.
  3. The product key has not already been activated.
