About Estimator pricing
Estimator can calculate production and digitizing costs in addition to estimated stitch counts. These costs are calculated using pricing information configured for your organization in Wilcom Account Management. Once configured, the same pricing is applied consistently to all estimates generated within your organization.
If pricing has not been configured, Estimator can still generate stitch estimates, but production and digitizing costs may not be available.
How pricing works
Traditionally embroidery companies use a stitch count vs quantity matrix to set the price they charge for embroidery. Prices are defined in an embroidery price table based on number of stitches and number of products. WilcomWorkspace lets you choose whether to configure your digitizing price alone and/or production price. Production price setup has some basic price table validation logic. Charges for each additional 1000 stitches should increase while cost per 1000 stitches should fall as quantity increases.
Pricing information
Estimator uses two types of pricing information:
- Digitizing costs: Configure digitizing pricing as a flat rate, per 1000 stitches, or 'none' if you are only interested in production estimates.
- Production costs: Configure item-quantity breaks and stitch-quantity breaks.
Who can configure pricing?
- Only Organization Account Owners can configure pricing and thread collections in Wilcom Account Management.
- Estimator users can generate estimates using the organization's configured pricing, but they cannot modify these settings.
