Transform designs

Resize, rotate, and flip designs using the Edit panel. These transformations let you adjust a design to suit different hoops, garment layouts, or design orientations while maintaining stitch quality whenever possible. Truesizer recalculates the design as you transform it and updates the design information automatically.

EMB designs produce the best transformation results because they contain the complete design information. Imported machine files can also be transformed, but the results may vary depending on the file format.

Resize a design

Resize a design proportionally using preset percentage increments or enter an exact width or height. To resize a design...
  1. Open a design in Truesizer.
  2. Select the Edit tab.

  3. Do one of the following:
    1. Click Decrease size or Increase size to resize the design by the current percentage increment.
    2. Enter a new Width or Height value and press Enter to resize the design to an exact size.
  4. Review the updated design dimensions in the Edit panel. Truesizer automatically recalculates the stitch count and other design information.

  1. Select the Edit tab.

  2. Click Rotate left or Rotate right. Each click rotates the design by 15°.
  3. Continue clicking until the design reaches the required angle.

Flip a design

Mirror a design horizontally or vertically. Flipping is useful for creating mirrored artwork or reversing embroidery layouts. To flip a design...
  1. Select the Edit tab.

  2. Click:
    1. Flip horizontal to mirror the design left-to-right.
    2. Flip vertical to mirror the design top-to-bottom.

Undo or redo a transformation

If you are not satisfied with the result, use Undo or Redo on the toolbar to reverse or reapply your most recent transformation.
