Download & export files
Wilcom Library provides several ways to retrieve design files for use outside the library. You can download the original design file, export the design to a machine-ready stitch format, or generate supporting production materials such as worksheets or bitmap previews. These tools make it easy to prepare designs for embroidery production or share them with customers and team members. You can work with a single design or select multiple designs to process at the same time.
By default, files for download or export will be placed in the local Download folder. Go to your browser's Settings page to modify as preferred.
Download design files
You can download a design in its original file format.
To download a single design...
- Select a design in My Designs.
- Click the more actions menu (3 dots) beneath the design and select Download ... from the droplist.
- Alternatively, use the associated button on the Information Panel toolbar.
By default, design files will be placed in their original format in your local Download folder, depending on your browser download settings.
To download multiple designs...
- Select the checkbox on each design you want to download.
- Select Download from the available actions.
Selected design files are packaged as a ZIP file. By default this will appear in the local Download folder of your PC, according to your browser download settings. Check download status in 'Bulk Action Manager' at the bottom of the screen.
Export designs for production
You can export designs in the Library to supported machine formats for embroidery production.
To export a single design as machine file...
- Select a design in My Designs.
- Click the more actions menu (3 dots) beneath the design and select Export Machine File from the droplist.
- Alternatively, use the associated button on the Information Panel toolbar.
By default, production files will be placed in your local Download folder, depending on your browser download settings.
To export multiple designs as machine files...
- Select the checkbox on each design you want to export. You can select one or more.
- Select Export for Machine from the available actions.
The Export Machine Files dialog provides a selection list of all supported machine file types. - Select one or more machine file formats. Use the buttons at the bottom to select 'all' or 'last exported file types'. Library remembers the previous settings.
- Click Export to confirm the export.
Production files are generated and packaged together as a ZIP file. By default, files are downloaded to your local Download folder. Again, this will depend on your browser download settings. Check download status in 'Bulk Action Manager' at the bottom of the screen.
