Info
Different embroidery file formats support different features. When exporting to another format, Truesizer converts unsupported features where possible. For example, some stitch effects may be simplified and bitmap images that are not supported by the selected format are omitted. If you plan to continue editing the design, keep an original EMB copy.

Export an EMB design

Export a design in EMB format when you want to preserve the complete embroidery design for future editing or share it with another Wilcom user. EMB files retain the complete design information, including object outlines, stitch data, thread colors, and colorways. They are the recommended format whenever further editing may be required.

To export an EMB design

  1. Open the design.

  2. Click Download Design on the General toolbar.

  3. Enter a file name.
  4. Select the required EMB format.
  5. Click Download.
  6. Choose a location and save the file.
Info
Truesizer can export designs in earlier EMB versions for compatibility with previous releases of Wilcom software.

Export a machine file

Export a machine file when the design is ready for embroidery. Machine files contain the stitch data required by embroidery machines and are intended for production rather than further editing.

To export a machine file

  1. Open the design.
  2. Click Export Machine File on the General toolbar.

  3. Enter a file name.
  4. Select the required machine format.

  5. Click Export.
  6. Save the file.
Info
For a complete list of supported machine formats, see Supported file formats.
