Production worksheets provide a printed summary of an embroidery design, including a design preview, thread colors, design information, and machine settings. They can be printed or saved as PDF files for use during production. Use production worksheets to communicate design information to embroidery operators, customers, or production staff.
Before you print
Review the design to ensure it is ready for production. If required:
- Assign the correct thread colors.
- Verify the design size and stitch count.
- Select the required colorway.
The worksheet reflects the current design and colorway.
Print a production worksheet
- Open the design.
- Click Print Design on the General toolbar.

- Select the required worksheet template.

- Specify the print options.
- Click Print. The worksheet is printed using your default printer.
Save a worksheet as a PDF
Instead of printing directly, you can save a worksheet as a PDF for electronic distribution or future reference. PDF worksheets are useful for:
- Customer approvals
- Production records
- Sharing design specifications
- Email distribution
To save a worksheet as a PDF
- Open the Print Design dialog.

- Select the required worksheet template.
- Choose Print.

- Select Microsoft Print to PDF or another PDF printer.
- Choose a location and save the PDF.

Depending on the selected worksheet template, a production worksheet may include:
- Design preview
- Design name
- Design dimensions
- Stitch count
- Thread sequence and colors
- Hoop information
- Machine information
- Production notes
- Select the appropriate colorway before printing if the design contains multiple colorways.
- Review the worksheet before distributing it to ensure the correct thread colors and design information are shown.
- Save a PDF copy if you need to share the worksheet electronically.
