Overview

Overview

Library is a multi-user, cloud-based design management application within WilcomWorkspace. It is designed for embroidery businesses that need to store, organize, and manage design files in a central location. Library allows teams to upload designs, manage metadata, search and filter designs, preview and download designs, and open designs in Truesizer for editing.

Info
While EmbroideryStudio's built-in Design Explorer manages designs stored on local drives and networks, Library extends this concept into the cloud — providing centralized access, collaboration, and organization-wide visibility of embroidery design assets.

Centralized design management

Library provides a central location for managing embroidery designs across your organization. With Library, you can:

  • Upload and manage embroidery design records
  • Attach supporting files such as PDFs, images, and documents
  • View design technical properties such as size, colors, and stitch count
  • Preview designs at true scale (1:1) within the browser

Structured design records

Each uploaded file becomes a structured design record, enriched with metadata such as:
  1. Filename
  2. Title
  3. Customer
  4. Status
  5. Decoration area
  6. Tags
  7. Notes
This structured approach ensures designs are organized and easy to find.

Visual browsing & production workflows

Library supports both browsing and production workflows.
  1. Browsing and inspection
  2. Thumbnail and list views
  3. Status indicators
  4. Design information pane
  5. Visual previews within the browser

Search & filtering

  1. Search by file name and title
  2. Filter by customer, status, decoration area, and tags
  3. Sort designs for easier navigation

Production actions

  1. Download original design files
  2. Export designs to machine formats
  3. Generate and print production worksheets
  4. Capture design bitmap
  5. Open designs in Truesizer

Truesizer integration

Library integrates directly with Truesizer to support design editing.
  1. Open designs from Library in Truesizer
  2. Edit designs using Truesizer tools
  3. Save changes back to the Library design record
  4. Multi-user editing lock prevents simultaneous edits
